Looking Behind the Lens: The Face of Array Creative

Hi, I’m David!

From a very young age, I discovered my love for both photography and videography, and this passion has been a big part of my life ever since.

I place a high value on memories. They’re priceless. My artistic perspective is influenced not only by passion but also by my extensive background working in hospitality, with over 10 years of experience in the industry – working amongst people, witnessing individuals and people celebrating various  milestones in their lives amongst co-works, friends and family.

Before heavily diving into the world of photography as a career, I spent over a decade working in hospitality behind the bar and running functions. The experiences taught me a lot about interpersonal service, but I always felt there was something more I could offer.

Being a photographer isn’t just about snapping pictures, it’s about connecting with people on a whole new level. Now, as a photographer, I get to fully immerse myself in events, interacting with amazing people on a more personal level. My favorite type of shoot is hands down – Events. It’s like being part of the celebration!

Amongst events, I have a special interest in business development – specifically small businesses. I’ve been heavily involved working closely with multiple directors over the years, with experience in different industries and business development stages.  These experiences combined with my studies in Business Management has provided invaluable perspective and insight into the importance of leveraging compelling images and videos to support a business’s growth and reinforce consumer confidence.

As my own business – Array Creative – grows, I continue to meet amazing people from all types of professional backgrounds learning something new every time. I get a kick out of it, and no doubt – that won’t be changing anytime soon!
